Boys of summer
I couldn’t resist this shot…it’s really less about the boys and more about the wicked cool clouds overhead.
I’m stills stuck in Hipstamatic heaven, bear with me.

This is for Erik, who keeps badgering me about putting something else up so he doesn’t have to look at my dog anymore.

Thanks to Dooce, I spent the weekend taking photos with my iphone and the Hipstamatic App.
Foxi Roxi and her 41st birthday cake.
St. Joan’s Palm Sunday’s Service. This is darkness coming over the land!
KP pondering life.
Lucy pondering a duck.
PJ pondering her ever changing creative abilities.
Me, moments off my bike, pondering how I will survive the next 6 months of training.
What are you going to shoot today?

I used to think Adam was so HOT in High School.
And after 23 years, not much has changed in that regard.
I love you.
Happy Anniversary, again.
The camera of my dreams
So I’ve done it.
I finally, after years of pining, purchased an exquisite camera FOR MYSELF.
What can I say but…I’m giddy!
Off to school
This was yesterday.
CT had just rolled out of bed and wasn’t ready yet.
PJ is set and ready to roll. In fact, she ran onto the bus so fast that I had to go on after her to kiss her goodbye.
KP was all ready but had to wait another day for school to begin, but got to visit for an hour and hang out with his new class mates.
All in all, the day went pretty smoothly.
And today…KP headed off to his first day of ALL DAY Chinese Immersion Kindergarten (didn’t even want to stop for a photo-can you tell by the blur?).
With his big brother giving him ample instructions before leaving the door, his big sister taking his hand as they stepped onto the bus together and his wide anxious eyes waiting for all the new adventures to begin, I am sure this day too will be great.
Unless he goes insane because he has no idea what the teacher is talking about.
I’ll let you know if that happens.

I love this photo of PJ.
It just makes me giggle.

KP turned five, as you know, last Friday. That said, I have embarked on his 5 year photo project, which I love to do and gives me a reason to have my camera at the ready everyday.
I decided when CT turned five that I would do a year long photo project, a photo a day, of each child of their fifth year. Then ultimatly, I would compile it into a book for them.
I can’t believe I am at the end of the line. The books have not been made yet. I want to give them out once each one has theirs complete. In fact, CT’s photos have not even been compiled yet. God bless flicker, it made it so much easier to keep it all organized with PJ’s project.
So off we go. But I’m already wondering if I should do it all again at 10.
What will they be doing then? What will they look like? How much will they change? It’s amazing the change you see throughout the year when you’re looking through a lens.
You should try it.

Here it is, PJ’s first love letter. She wanted to send it via Chinese Lantern.
The roll of papers all say the same thing.
I think she loves him 30 times the number of papers in the paper roll.
We decided together that maybe it wasn’t the right time to give it to him yet.
Like by about 20 years.
