My little Wii family

December 30th, 2006

I have been totally against introducing any sort of video game into our household. I’m not sure where this distain of the vids stems from. Maybe it is that fact that my own husband stole from his mama’s pocket book to go play arcade games when he was in grade school. Or maybe it’s because I feel like the games will steal their small souls and never return them to me. I don’t know.

About two months ago we got a computer for the kids. On this computer we installed some amazing educational games from Ubuntu, which is ok by me.

After about a week Adam installed all the old arcade games on their computer (i.e. Frogger, Mario Brothers, Centipede, and others, lots and lots of others). This too seemed to be ok with me, however, there were rules: ONLY to be played on the weekends with Dad’s OK and none of mom’s help.

Now Christmas has come, gifts have been given and Adam received a combination gift from my mother and his…a Wii.

All I can say is, I FUCKING LOVE IT, maybe even more than Adam.

And here is how much, introducing…our new little Wii family.
